Walden Capital Group was formed in 2006 by R.B. “Trip” Walden to pursue real estate development opportunities focusing mostly on multifamily projects in the Southeast. Mr. Walden was formerly the co-founder and partner of Hathaway Development Company and United Residential Properties, LLC. Over a 15 year period, these companies were responsible for the development, construction and management of over 6,000 multifamily units in the southeast. Mr. Walden and his previous companies were also involved in the development and construction of over 500 residential building lots and 300 single-family homes. In recent years, the company developed condominium projects along the Gulf Coast, as well as student housing for Mercer University in Macon and Atlanta, Ga.; mini-warehouse facilities; and retail and commercial properties, including restaurant buildings leased to franchisees and office properties.
